Account Verification Policy Update

Effective: May 12, 2026Hi everyone,We're rolling out a new account verification policy designed to protect Collaboom, the brands who trust us with their campaigns, and the genuine creators who make this community what it is.Our PrincipleCollaboom has always been, and will always be, a platform exclusively for creators who actually live in the United States. This has been our foundational rule since day one, every creator confirms US residency at sign-up, and our campaigns are built around US-based audiences.Why This UpdateAs Collaboom continues to grow, we've seen a rise in accounts using package-forwarding services (freight forwarders / mail-receiving agents) as shipping addresses, and fake or non-US phone numbers to participate in campaigns. This is a clear violation of our policy and, in many jurisdictions, constitutes fraud.To protect our clients and protect Collaboom's long-term integrity, we are now enforcing identity verification based on shipping address, phone number, and IP signals.What's ChangingStarting May 12, 2026, every creator will be asked to complete a one-time verification:Phone number verification — SMS code sent to your US mobile numberShipping address verification — confirms your address is a real US residential locationIf you genuinely live in the United States, this verification will take about two minutes and will be effortless. If you do not actually reside in the US and do not meet Collaboom's eligibility requirements, the system will not allow verification to complete.What This Means For Your CampaignsExisting campaigns you've already been approved for will continue exactly as before. This update does not affect any work currently in progress.For any campaign created on or after May 12, 2026 and any earlier campaign you have not yet applied to verification is required before you can apply.Where to VerifyYou can complete verification anytime from your Influencer Dashboard, you'll see a "Verify your account" card at the top of the page with a "Verify" button next to your phone number and shipping address. It's a one-time process, once verified, you won't be asked again.Ongoing ProtectionGoing forward, we will continuously monitor IP signals with AI assistance to detect access from outside the United States. VPNs will not bypass these protections.Note to Our Genuine CreatorsThis decision is about Collaboom's long-term sustainability and the trust our brand partners place in us.
